The Kuwait Cultural Office is proud to highlight Ms. Anwar AlFailakawi, a PhD student at the University of Aberdeen.

During her first year of doctoral studies, Ms. Anwar achieved several key milestones, including the acceptance and presentation of her first research paper at the 2025 Annual Scottish Doctoral Colloquium in Accounting and Finance held in Dundee and the 2025 British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) conference in Glasgow. The paper is currently under review for publication in a high-impact journal (ABS3*; ABDC: A*), and has won the Best Engagement Poster Award.

In addition, Ms. Anwar was appointed as the Postgraduate Research (PGR) Representative for the Finance Department at the University of Aberdeen, a role that reflects her leadership and commitment to academic excellence.
